Randolph Street Holiday Market, December 10-11. Browse vintage collectibles and new merchandise from over 100 vendors. You never know what you might find! Admission required. Indoors at 1340 W Washington Street, Chicago.
Christkindlmarket Chicago. Open daily through December 24, Daley Plaza. This old-world style, open-air market features German and European-inspired gifts, arts and foods, plus live entertainment. There is another market in Oakbrook if you can’t make it downtown.
ZooLights at Lincoln Park Zoo. Weekends through January 1. Immerse yourself in a true winter wonderland with millions of holiday lights, impressive ice carvings, live music, carousel and train rides, food and special merchandise. Pictures with Santa for the kids. Plus the amazing animal exhibits!
Holiday Magic at Brookfield Zoo. Weekends through December 31. Experience an amazing display of lights, a laser light show, a magic show, animal visits, and holiday carols.
Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light at the Museum of Science & Industry. Daily through January 8. See beautiful holiday trees decorated to represent various cultures, and enjoy song-and-dance performances.
Winter WonderFest at Navy Pier, though January 8. An indoor extravaganza of lights, shopping, food and entertainment.
Illumination: Tree Lights at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle. An outdoor light show like no other! Responsive lighting makes trees “come alive” as you enjoy an enchanted one-mile walk. Tickets required. Some days sell out, so plan your visit in advance!
New Year’s Eve Fireworks at Navy Pier, December 31 at midnight. Free outdoor viewing! There are also New Year’s Eve galas taking place within Navy Pier, requiring advance reservations and tickets. View the Navy Pier website events page for more information.
